Residents of Sprague
Sayles School is asking all new residents of Baltic, Hanover and Versailles to register new students over the summer months. This also pertains to new high school students.
Choose this form if:
Your child will be starting at Sayles School next school year (between September 2023 and June 2024). Any student who will be five years old on or before January 1, 2024, is eligible to begin Kindergarten in September.
Printed registration packets are available for pick up at Sayles School.
Once you have completed the forms please contact the Sayles School main office to set up an appointment to complete the enrollment.
PreK through 8 Students
Parents / Guardians of new students in grades PreK through 8 should report to the Sayles School Main Office for registration.
The Sayles School Main Office school-year hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. However, it is always a good idea to call in advance of visiting due to vacations and holidays.

Parents / Guardians of new students in grades PreK through 8 should bring the following with them:
- Enrollment Packet for each child being registered
- Birth Certificate for each child being registered
- Proof of Vaccinations (a copy of this can be obtained from your pediatricians office or the last school attended)
- THREE Proofs of Residency: i.e., drivers license, rent receipt, utility bill, lease agreement, etc. ALL proofs of residency must have your actual street on it. Post office box numbers alone are NOT Valid Proof.
NOTE: Students coming from out-of-state are REQUIRED to have a physical by a Connecticut physician to enter school.
The Sayles School Preschool Program is legally exempt from child care licensing and, as such, is not required to meet licensing standards.
Connecticut General Statutes, Section 19a-77(b)(1)(A) provides that a program administered by a public school system is not required to be licensed to operate.
Students Moving Out of Town Over the Summer
Sayles School is asking that any current Sayles School students who are moving out of town over the summer properly withdraw from Sayles School by filling out a withdraw form and to please register your child(ren) as soon as possible with the new school.
This will help to insure that your child's records will arrive at their new school in a timely manner.
